Citrus Lane (Baby Subscription Box) Review

One of the box subscriptions I get is Citrus Lane, which I was signed up for as a gift. It's always full of great toys and products I may not have heard of before! (Which is really saying something!)

My June box came in yesterday and I snapped a few pictures before I tore into it. :)

This month's box had a Disney wet bag (retail $10.99) from Bumkins (which is quite large - possibly the size of a textbook). It's PVC, BPA, phtalate, vinyl and lead free. They also gave me a coupon code for 35% off at bumkins.com

There was a fruit teether from Innobaby (retail $6.99) and a 15% off coupon code for innobaby.com. I haven't had a chance to use the teether yet - little man isn't really teething yet.

There were two little sample tubes of Burt's Bees Baby Bee 2-in-1 Diaper Cream and Baby Powder - which I'm excited about since we're going on a long trip soon and I don't want to be taking big bottles of things like that. Plus, it's a really neat product and feels great on my fingers, so I imagine it also feels great on baby's bum. Got another coupon code: 15% off at burtsbees.com

From Plum Organics, there was a squeeze pouch of baby food (retail $2.29). Their Stage 1 Hello Morning - which is a certified organic blend of cherry and oats in a BPA-free package. Plus 25% off at shop.plumorganics.com

Possibly my favorite item in the box was the plush sea horse from Wee Gallery (retail $18.95). Baby G loves stuffing it in his mouth (as much as he can, as it's pretty large. He can really only get the nose. Also got a 20% coupon code for weegallery.com

In addition to all of the products in the box, there was also a special offer from Third Love - a bra company. They gave me a $20 off coupon for a $40 purchase at thirdlove.com)

Not counting the Baby Bee sample tubes, the total value of the box comes to roughly $40 ($39.22 to be exact). Depending on your subscription type (12-month, 6-month, or 3-month) the monthly cost of a box ranges from $20-29. I think that's a pretty great deal - especially considering the fact that a lot of the products I get I never would've known about otherwise. And I've yet to receive anything that I don't like!
Plus, I like that I can shop online - like Birchbox, but unlike Ecocentric Mom (which is only a box subscription).

Update 10/24/2016: The Innobaby fruit teether (we got the grape) was probably one of the most used things we received in this box! We still have it and have thoroughly cleaned and sanitized it to use with baby #2. G loved that teether and when he started saying a few words, would often ask for his "dapes."
We also loved the Plum Organics baby food pouches and bought them frequently - though usually from Target or a grocery store. They were great to throw in a diaper bag - I often carried a few extras in case we were out and I didn't plan and bring other snacks, or he didn't want anything from our plates at a restaurant.
